The California Council on Science and Technology (CCST) Senior Fellows include California's most
distinguished and accomplished scientists and technical experts, who work with CCST to provide
politically neutral, expert advice and solutions to science and technology-related public policy
issues and initiatives. Initiated with a grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation in
1997, Senior Fellows, through CCST, unlock and leverage California's science and technology
expertise and provide advice to state and local government, the education sector and the federal
government on science and technology public policy issues of importance to California. Currently,
there are 137 CCST Senior Fellows who have earned distinction in their respective fields.
