CCST is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation. It conducts some commissions for various state agencies, but relies on funding from foundations, companies, and other philanthropies to initiate other key studies and projects that are important for the future well-being of California. Work funded by private sources is conducted according to the same strict, rigorous, and impartial processes that guide every CCST activity.
