Fariborz Maseeh

Founder and Managing Principal, Picoco LLC

Fariborz Maseeh is founder and managing principal of Picoco LLC, an investment management firm which invests in various assets and manages several hedge funds. He also is the sole founder and president of The Massiah Foundation, a charitable organization which invests in transformational situations for broad public benefit. He is a worldwide recognized expert in the field of micro-electro mechanical systems (MEMS). He founded IntelliSense in 1991 with the vision of reducing the time and expense of creating next-generation MEMS devices. Under his leadership, IntelliSense successfully created the first custom design, development, and manufacturing MEMS operation.

Maseeh has over sixty scientific publications in business strategy, fabrication technologies, design of software for MEMS, and has authored a number of patents and trademarks. He has given numerous invited talks at various organizations both in science, entrepreneurship and philanthropy. He was appointed to serve on the CCST council in 2010.

Maseeh earned his B.S in engineering and a Master's degree in applied mathematics from Portland State University, a Masters of Science degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a doctorate in science degree in engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
